Shroud is a Canadian broadcaster, YouTuber, and former professional Counter-Strike Global Offensive player who was born on June 2, 1994. He is known for playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Apex Legends, and Escape from Tarkov, Valorant, and other first-person shooter and battle royal games. Grzesiek is regarded as one of the best “aimers “in the world. His Twitch channel has over 9.9 million followers, making it the seventh most popular on the network, and his YouTube channel has over 6.81 million subscribers as of December 2021.
Origins of Name- He loved the handle ‘eclipse’ that another player in a different video game was using, so he stole it. However, ‘Eclipse’ was already used when he joined CS:GO, so he selected Eclipse, which he eventually altered to the synonym ‘Shroud.
Family- Shroud has a good relationship with both of his parents, despite the fact that they are divorced.
Game Origins- Shroud acquired his passion for gaming and technology from his father, who began playing video games with him at an early age and built each of their computers. As a result, his father provided the most up-to-date consoles and gaming equipment as he grew older. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was also introduced to him by his father (CS). Despite the fact that he can no longer play with him, his father is a huge supporter and attends every tournament match he plays in.
Shroud was a bashful kid as a kid. He discovered that streaming helped him overcome his fears about speaking with others when he was approximately 17 years old. He had just a few pals before then, all of whom were keen gamers. He eventually recognized he was fairly competent after receiving comments on his streams, particularly from pro-players. Complexity, now known as Cloud9, reached him soon after and invited him to join their team. He did so, and stayed on the squad until 2017, when he resigned to focus solely on streaming.
